Solo Leveling Season 2 started off with a bang, unlike the slow start of Season 1. In the first episode of season 2, Sung Jin-woo visited Sung Jinah’s high school, where he had a conversation with the person in charge. Once they finished talking about Sung Jin-woo’s sister, the woman asked if he could help a student who was struggling to make the right choice.
Sung Jin-woo agreed to the request and decided to talk to the young lady. Upon meeting her, he found that she had previously participated in one of his raids. He tried talking to her, but she seemed to have made up her mind. So Sung Jin-woo decided to take another approach. He used his connections to gain access to a lower-ranked gate. He believed that she would change her mind after seeing how dangerous it could be.

However, nothing could prepare Sung Jin-woo for what came next. As they entered the gate, it changed color and turned into a red gate. It was shortly revealed that it was impossible to leave the dungeon until the main boss had been defeated or until a dungeon break happened. As they went forward, Sung Jin-woo and the rest of the group were welcomed by ice elves. These creatures were smart, and they used various tactics to bring down their enemies.
It wasn’t long before the Ice Elves killed one of the raiders. To circumvent this problem, Kim Chul, the A-ranked Hunter, decided to form two groups. He was confident in his abilities, and he wanted to keep away the weaklings to increase his own odds of survival and rise through the ranks in the White Tiger Guild. Once the groups were formed, there they went in separate directions. Sung Jin-woo and his companions traveled through the woods while the other group moved towards open ground.
